A thing of beauty, lovely capture!! Very jealous though!

Thanks, don't think I'll ever see lightning like that again or at least a very long time, could just imagine how bright it would have been if it was pitch black

Saw a lovely strike with the red sunset sky in the back drop. This was the west split that went up just west of Newcastle. Sorry I didn't have my camera out. Had the wine glass in my hand.

It's a really good one that and in a way probably better not pitch black as you get the purpleish colour of the clouds making it even more dramatic (imo!).

How the heck do you upload images from a Samsung mobile. None are showing what I'm uploading. None are above 200kb.

The pictures I have just took looking over Chesterfield are stunning

What browser are you using?

You should be able to 'Click to choose files' then the browser will ask you to navigate to where  the photo is that you want to upload.

Is it my imagination or does it look like there is a hook on the radar

Yes there were signs of possible rotation with that storm on radar. Not sure if anyone who was under that storm noticed any? 137D143B-BC4D-4F46-AAEC-C21D7C96186E.thumb.jpeg.819bfc60f31976fec28c11a10d4eea0b.jpeg

That is what caught my eye as I was looking through.

Have there been any reports of any Tornadoes.

Great afternoon! Just got back home, saw some CGs as the storm approached Bolsover, followed it North on the M1 through some of the worst driving conditions I've experienced, surrounded by lightning.

Then, headed along the M180 into North Lincs and witness at least 15 amazing IC and CG strikes right overhead! Awesome stuff

Is there anymore for our area overnight or is that it?

had nearly 70cm my car was buried for a week not bad considering they only forecast 5cm

We got stuck under what seemed to be a never ending streamer and 10 to 15 miles either side they got nowhere near as much as here.

Was incredible but we never seem to get any thunderstorms overhead here.

Been watching the York railcam - it was bright, I know that!!!

Do you subscribe to railcam? Nothing here so far in Norfolk but its the warmest night of the year so far in my opinion, not a hint of cold air its gorgeous, an alternative way to play out the rest of my birthday (which has now indeed finished)

Oh!

i forgot to mention that i headed out earlier towards Market rasen,Lincolnshire to intercept the storms over there and i hit a brick wall of traffic heading south on the A1 towards Warmsworth,Doncaster to get on the M18 then M180 and head east towards Cleethorpes,i ended up staying one and a half hours in that jam then headed home.

Maybe they all had the same idea...
