Seen flashes of light from the direction of the Leicester storm, and you can see sheets of precipitation from clouds but they tail off quickly, so I'm assuming evaporation, even fairly high up.

You can see a slight rainbow here as rain evaporates on it's way down. The towers to the east hidden by the house

And here in NW England stuck in the middle with nothing. I’d better be quiet though I guess.

I keep hearing deep rumbles, surely ii cant be hearing it from 40 miles away.

Tbh, I don't think it can be called a bust when it always looked a bit of a non-event anyway. Models were never keen on any widespread storms.

Strange how none of the models forecast the heaviest precipitation to be for Central England? Looked completely dry on what I saw posted in here.

The UKV flirted with the idea a few times. Odd that AROME had nothing at all, given it usually overdoes the precip!

The direction is NNE so going due east may not be a good idea.

Just as I switched the engine on spotted a huge CG to the SW, staying put for now as this approaches, will jump on the M1 and head North at some point
