Local forecast has moved storms to 19:00hrs after suddenly moving away from a dry unpleasant hot evening. Storms already appeared in the wrong towards the north west of England. A possible bonus for others in a bit?

Radar's showing rain here, unfortunately, it's not  I can see some Virga, but it's evaporating about 1/4th of the way down (cloud base is REALLY high!).  Still stupidly hot (30c) despite the thick cloud cover (got up to about 34c'ish')

It looks and feels absolutely ripe here , wind picking up , darker clouds filling in , I’m semi hopeful now !

Will probably come to nothing but always a joy to see these clouds and the storm potential they bring. Lovely stuff.

I would say it's a bust but nothing much was forecast for down here anyway. What a poor year for storms it has been in the SE.

They’ve got a pretty high cloud base haven’t they?

Thunder heard from the Rugby direction. A few spots of rain near Daventry but most of the rain isnt making it to the surface.

Towers visible to the ESE of me. Looks like I'll be able to wave to any storms as they pass to the east of me. Need something to brew to the south and not SSE.

Gonna be too far west here, tempted to jump in the car and head for North Lincs

Just as I say that, skies to the south looking dark and some new sferics near Derby

I'm sat outside my boat not far from Junction 18 on the M1, in the last 20 minutes, we have had a strong cool breeze, no wind, and now very hot breeze from the SE. Looks like this area is slap bang in the convergence zone.
