Well I drove up to the Wisbech and Kings Lynn area and found a fantastic spot to watch the storms come over. Just about saw one bolt of lightning and got a few rumbles of thunder and then it all just fizzled out before even reaching me, very frustrating.

Did have some nice cloudscapes and a few torrential downpours though and with the high humidity it really did feel Florida-esque.

Can see some lightning to the north of here and to the east I can even see some flashes from the cloud top of the North Sea storm. I wonder if that rain moving northwards from Lincolnshire will turn thundery too?

I admire your dedication buddy, I was contemplating heading for the Humber area on my way back but the allure of a big-mac was too tempting.

Looks like you may be rewarded with a little storm to the South now!

What's the old saying? 3 fine days and a thunderstorm? It was a case of 2 fine days and a cold, overcast 3rd day here. I'm now in a period similar to that between 2005 and 2009.

Looking south over the Yorkshire wolds towards Driffield, starting to light up, distant rumbles aswell, the last 2 storms have just clipped us this evening

I think the stuff in the channel is sea mist, as we have more of that here now, and it keeps showing up on radar as very light rain.

The North Sea cell appears to have died now. Was a feisty one considering it was so tiny.

Great stuff here got in between 2 storms in the last few hours the one to my east had decent structure and more lightning than the earlier storm today and the one I have been filming to my west has had constant lightning for the past half hour. Will see if I can get still shots from my videos tomorrow.
