Couldnt make it up.....the light shower coming up from the channel heading this way, what an end to the hot spell

The storms have been cracking from what I've seen in here but I guess I was sort of expecting a lot more activity than what's on the radar.

Strong cap. I think the triggers were a little lacking in veracity too.

Looks like Lincolnshire or at least south Lincs will miss out I’ve been totally bypassed with a cell moving to my west and a cell to my east, in the middle nothing but blue sky and a warm wind

Rolling thunder currently above me

Very dark over your way. Shame, I can't even hear any distant thunder.

For those of you hanging on to the heat, humidity and storms enjoy it because whats behind it isn't fun. I can't believe just how cold it is outside down here now, just ran with two layers on. 16.8C and a blowy wind. Please take me back to yesterday.

Still 28 here. Not humid and no sign of storms

Went and had a look at the storm (storm?) nr Swaffham and also the one nr Bury.

Hugely disappointing. The only standing water I found was from an irrigation system on the way home.....

That was it for me I think, I can see clear skies to the south, it's not even rained

It’s not even a shower where we are, it’s just cloud

Well ely itself seemed to dodge the storms but I quickly drove about 5 miles west and caught an epic downpour which whizzed through. Plenty of thunder too. As suspected earlier though the charts were correct it was very hit and miss, Small downpours that seemed to go as soon as they had arrived. Never mind!! Sheffield storm looked epic though.

Unfortunately nothing will develop to the west of France as cloud cover is too extensive - otherwise we may have been in for some imports.

Oh well, maybe a KC later on, but chances are fairly slim

Just out of interest what time would people say is best for storms to develop?

Also, what time would you call it quits?

I am thinking what's on the radar is it, hope I am wrong

Looks like this plume is going to go out with a whiff for us that haven’t seen anything today so far.

Currently near blue skies and what seems like an increasing breeze. Doesn’t feel stormy at all.

Although nothing major is forecast for Belfast, there's some interesting looking elevated cloud bases around.

Driven to Medway for first proper social in 15 weeks and the skies here look interesting. Saw some absolutely text book AcCas wafting in from the S/SW en route and there’s still a huge rash of Ac and AcCas?

Nice AcCas here too. It looks more interesting than the skies before the 'plume'. Weird

Are you at home and did you definitely hear thunder? To quote Independence Day, “it ain’t on the map”
