The showers in the Cambs area are very weak and getting weaker.  Still time for something to get going in a meaningful manner I guess!

Time is ticking away now, so hot here but no sign of a storm

Ticking away? Have a good 6 hours of storms left.

Skies now darkening to my south, not sure if it's distant thunder I can hear or the rumble of the motorway

To be fair we have upgraded from just clouds to clouds with some big splashes of rain. There doesn’t seem to be quite enough juice to develop anything meaningful at the moment across the part of the country.

It would seem these are the current risk areas based on the radar at present

Untitled.thumb.png.70ec97cad0a03c6e721144f8ad4f5374.png

Red zone looks to be odds on for some big storms with that large one heading from Nottingham area and more are forming to the S of it now around Leicester and Coventry

The amber zone looks like it may see some action but the showers within these areas look to be weaker and less organised.

Need opinions! Blue dot is my location, would you hold out here, or move North or East?

That red zone is right over us now at Doncaster,

I'd stay whee I am: there are no services on the Westbound M62 although there are some places to stop with open views (only one junction between the M18 and the A1) but you need to know where they are and they are on back roads. There is a generally good view from the services where you are and you should get a direct hit.

Wind has now veered to the west. Temp dropped from 27.6 to 24.3 in five minutes. If it wasn’t all over, it is now.

anyone north of Wrexham or west of Manchester, forget it. Next chance tomorrow morning which does look interesting.

So is anything gonna happen in Wrexham, cos I’m just about to throw the towel in and have a tantrum!
