Just home now from chasing that incredible storm (didn’t have to go far!)

Lightning every 1-2 seconds at its strongest point. Will share a photo tomorrow that I took looking across the bay.

Looks like there could be more heading your way from N Wales.

Raining. A few distant rumbles of thunder heard. Still far too hot to sleep.

Edit: in Worthing for those on mobiles who can’t see locations

I'm seeing some very distant flashes, must be coming from the storm that is south of Brighton, that's some distance!

And it's starting to get light outside

Wow it's late

Well what an incredibly poor evening, up there with some of the big busts we’ve had in these parts and glad I called it an evening when I did.

Just woke up for a horrible east am shift - 4am - 1pm very long and tiring especially in this heat. However as I ya thought a nice fat unpredicted fell in the channel. With these set up you can forget the charts and focus more on Satellite and radar. Storms are Very unpredictable. Anyway it seems to be strengthening rather than weakening so think London/ SE will go bang this morning before 6 me thinks

It was giving out a lot of omph. Very bright by me. Hearing the rumbles as well was quite an insight considering it was miles away.

lovely red sky now

yep out to sea but no Thunder from here either. About 30 km away I think. Activity seems to be increasing and extending slowly eastwards.

Still incredibly hot, isn’t it? Skies look very dark and stormy.

Nice storm in Eastbourne now. Been going on about an hour now. Frequent lightning, big thunder and torrential rain.
