My Internet once again is playing up. I can't even get the Met Office to load properly. If I persist I'm going to damage my blood pressure!

I'm calling it a day. Anyone who catches one of these "Yellow Warning" storms then enjoy it!  I don't get the impression this will be the storm-fest widely anticipated. more likely another national bust with a few lucky strikes.

Enjoy!

Well, I have never seen a French import do this before. Is it me, or is it also trying to tap into that storm south of Calais?

Mesocyclone?

Aha! Hurricane  Kent Clipper forms in the Channel...

Seriously, watching that decay from the main mass makes me wonder if that dragged one or more tornadoes out of that rotation.

It’s Hurricane Kent Clipper Catherine! Except it’s heading north into London...

Alright, hands up who's been making whirlpools in the channel?

Have to wonder what conditions are like underneath it. The spiral seems to have lost energy fairly quickly, but had developed so rapidly growing cells on it's southern arm.

Very tentative signs that the western half of the channel is waking up, but nothing compared to developments south of Brighton.

Looks like some people are about to get awoken with a nice surprise

Good look guys!

I'd end up falling asleep on the beach

Yeah I'm pretty close to falling asleep myself.

Was hoping for something a lot better than what we actually ended up with down here , but I suppose it's better than nothing.

Lets hope we get some more opportunities come our way soon.
