Cheers guys. Guess it's just a guessing game as to whether they die in the Channel or form in the channel to tell if they're elevated.

The rain shower is behind the camera, and it's not very electrified either.  Hmm. Even on TV it's a bust!!

It's a shame Netweather's coloured lightning crosses are pretty much the same colour as most of the rainfall colour index.

Quickly looking through the models only the AROME & HIRLAM appears to have any sort of decent handle on the current storm activity near the Channel Islands. ARPEGE, ECM, GFS have almost nothing there.

Off chasing in a sec, who knows, maybe I can remove 'storm starved' from my user profile on here later and see my first CGs since July.

Radar looks all too promising down in CI.

Good luck anyone else chasing! Happy trails!

It’s quite rare in the situations, even when we get busts not to have any Ac Cas breaking out coming into the south. All I see are wafts of cirrus from the anvils way out south.

Call me crazy but I predict the HIRLAM to be spot on tonight.

I've just picked up lightning activity. It must be my new siting that causes it to pick up discharges from further away?!

That cloud to the E must be part of the storm. It's moving at tremendous speed & it's looking like the cloud's actually moving into it.

Yeah that could be a worry, but maybe it’ll be a late one, we need something closer to the south coast

Things about to get very interesting for Jersey, watch here -

St_Ouens_Bay%20%2812%29.jpg
WWW.JERSEY.COM

Discover St. Ouen's Bay, on the west coast of Jersey. With miles of sand washed by rolling Atlantic waves, the magnificent St. Ouen’s Bay is a natural playground for surfers and adrenaline seekers.

Dierdre & Sandra at Table One, just looked behind them, picked up their hand-bags and left, I wonder if they're NWx Radar Subscribers?...hmm

Closest strikes are about 150km away.

Anyone seen the satellite picture for northern Spain/Southern France??? Absolutely crazy! Looks like a hurricane or a nuclear detonation with all that cloud from the storms
