Every possibility that thunderstorms could break out late afternoon - early evening before this arrives. hmm o,o -- could be a nice night to thunderstorm watch

WRF wants a sea-breeze on Friday. Starting to panic now. Thursday night maybe my only chance. I have a feeling I won’t see anything at all.

I’m liking that West of Scotland mention mate!

I also just noticed the Met Office have stuck the thunderstorm symbol on me for tomorrow afternoon - that usually puts an end to any hope I had.

Also got a very late night/morning ahead as well! (Slight risk now further West for the early hours of Thursday)

UKV is looking good directly overhead at the moment - 3/4am.

As ever we shall see what happens - plan is to try and stay awake/set alarm and hopefully my other half agrees to let me pitch up at the local beach/hill in the early hours. (We have a toddler son so that’s why I need permission! )

Good luck to everyone over the next couple of days - enjoy the heat also!

For the first time in my life, this kind of setup is not exciting me. Any storms the SE might get look to be during the precise few hour window I can’t enjoy them, lol!! Unless the tentative hints at a secondary wave Friday night materialises which strikes me as unlikely.

Met office warning issued from Friday 12pm till 6am Saturday. I’m a bit concerned how I’m on the edge of the warning in London but still within it. Making me think the most intense of the storms will be further north but too early to say ??

Throwing in the towel for Friday afternoon already. Maybe something in a 2 hour window Friday morning but not Friday afternoon here.
