Forecast is 4c tomorrow but today it stayed frozen out the sun all day. Seem to be overcooked somewhat.

A fall of dandruff other than snow is starting to look more likely than any snowfall, looking at some of the latest images.

DWW...

Temperature dropping like a stone tonight.

Already down to -3.5C  (coldest of the winter so far).

My dewpoint is at -9.0C.Beginnining to think my relative  humidity readings have gone kaput!!

Have just reset my annual readings so will start the new year with a clean plate.

Hopefully we will see some very low temperatures soon.

Happy and Healthy New Year to all my fellow midland coldies.

AND to you warmies - please do not forget to wrap up warm in the next few weeks!.

Didn't quite manage an ice day today, which was mildly irritating (max +0.5 °C) but nevertheless a very nice day to be out walking given the sunshine and lack of wind. Temperature now down to -3.4 °C. It has -4.6 °C to beat from last night to become the lowest of the winter so far, but I suspect we won't quite get there as mist and then cloud may well stop things getting much colder later in the night despite the continuing partial snow cover.

Yeah I’ll admit it’s felt very wintry today which is nice. Temperatures were very similar here and the lovely winter sunshine has made it very pleasant. Lots to play for with the incoming easterly soon I am sure. Embedded troughs and streamers are possible if the setup firmly establishes itself so here’s to an exciting and wintry start to 2021!
