One thing I must say this week for us coldies/snow lovers screams out potential everyday as we will see somewhere getting snowfall, but where and when snow falls will change..... but how excited we all are shows, it’s great that you all are here on the Midlands thread again

Hi all. Long time no post lol.

Cold day here in Tamworth only up to 2C.

Snowed earlier this morning at 6am but sadly not our turn this morning as the front moved away.

Exciting times ahead ☺️

Hey everyone, a long while since I’ve posted, which means a long while since we’ve seen any decent snow in south notts! Woke up like an excited kid this morning having been dreaming of snow, but alas there was nothing! The sky looks full of it but still nothing, so I’m hoping we will get at least a few flurries this evening , I just wanna see falling flakes!,,

A few light showers seem to be developing to the NE of Leicestershire

Can see showers moving down from NE on radar, a little too far East for most of the Midlands maybe.  Will keep an eye on it! Some seem to intensify in land?   (correction, they're not )

Edit -  too far East! Too far West this morning.  Notts, Leics, Coventry etc.. In some sort of snow shielded corridor.

Still no massive trend back to milder weather yet...

For fun this at +243 - Midlands to the South would be good..

If anything like some of these charts come off we are going to see more and more chances of wintry stuff.

Yes looking good as we go into the New year, all 30 gfs members agree that it’ll be below the average...just cold cold

And this is before a potential SSW. Although that doesn’t necessarily mean cold, of course.

Latest Euro4 for tomorrow morning. A real wintry mix. A bit of elevation and high precipitation rates may be needed.

And am sure euro4 had nothing what so ever earlier on!!!big change that!!

bbc had less cold air coming in from the NE, starts off as snow but wintry mix later, bbc gives me snow 3-7am, then sleet/rain

Another thing to keep an eye on; Potential Cheshire Gap steamer setup mid week. That’s assuming the front to the south misses us, which seems likely.

Yeah I’d say modest elevation will be snow but lower ground may not be so good, really will be nowcast as usual with regard to snow
