About 3 quarters of the snow remains here been a slow thaw mainly on roads and trees. I think the front on Wednesday will be to far south but even without that many opportunities for showers forming in the North Sea and drifting in land. 1c here and very misty been a great snow day.

So there has been a slight thaw during the afternoon but seems colder again now so all this lot will turn to ice ready for the next batch in the early hours... here’s hoping anyway

Met office app having none of it though, going for an all rain event. But the app also said it would hit 3C today, the reality is 1C even without snow cover, and starting to clear now just in time for sunset.

Not going to get hopes up the way that front stopped and pivoted literally above my house this morning

On other hand roads were fine for work today.

Loving all the pictures not jel at all.

Was cold all day around 2 or 3c max on van.

Now home 1c

The more various areas that get a cover of snow the better it will be for snow chances the rest of the week so im hoping these chances earlier this week are spread about

It's been a good day here. Thanks to all the 2020 stuff(TM) I haven't been following weather as closely as I would most winters, so today had the tinge of an old-fashioned surprise snowfall about it, the kind of thing I remember as a kid in the 1980s. Maxed out at 1.6 °C in the end and it's now starting to fall away again. All melted now under trees etc, but still a good few cm lying on exposed pavements and lawns, car roofs etc. If it clears tonight then tomorrow morning will be a real ice hazard around here.

Very pleased with what I've had here today, so more than happy for the next one to give folks in the East Midlands something to cheer!

Just driven here to central Brum for work. Once I was down off Gornal mountain, it was a very easy drive. In fact, once I was past West Bromwich, there was hardly any lying snow left...and none here in the city centre.

Yeah loads here not much thaw today, as regards to tomorrow stuff it’s going to be radar watching like last night, there will be changes left right and centre with the forecast as always

I must admit I'm still baffled why folks get excited by a potential shower of Snow. Unless it's a good 4 inches then it's pointless as a shower simply disappears as quick as it comes. Lol.
