Had a couple of cm here and still snowing. After a few awful consecutive winters this is great to see hard luck in shrews, you do seem a bit hard done by but just an area west of Bham up to stoke seems to be the place to be this morn for accumulations?

Yes it just flew over us having been missing to North and west all night and then formed that band over Staffs/Wolverhampton. Funnily enough I've seen more than a few thunderstorm setups do similar things too.

Just 1 or 2 cm would have done for now, to get 2020 out of the snowless (lying) category, maybe the 29th or 30th or 31st?

Safe to say the roads are toast just been out the Wolverhampton road is completely covered. True Winter wonderland out there way better than I expected.

This is gonna be a really decent event, already is, but the grass is almost buried and when that happen, then i know it is a good snow event lol.

Far better than forecast and it shows no sign of stopping.

Not only is the band pivoting, but I’ve got it building slightly to my west. Should keep it going for a good while.

If I was really greedy, I could complain that the heaviest stuff is building to my east/south east

Scrap my last comment. It looks like the really heavy stuff is all building just to my south and heading this way while the front remains stuck and slowly pivots over me. Jackpot!

Looking at the radar everyone birmingham north is going to do really well. Hopefully will have more chances of snow for my area (coventry) in the next 10 days or so

You have a good chance in Coventry, 50/50 for here in Hinckley i think. ?️
