Moderate snow in loggerheads with a good covering, perhaps a quarter of an inch so far. Met office tell me it’s currently raining...

Moderate snow here and we are getting a light dusting. It’s pushing through quick, it looks like the pivot is happening north of here in Staffordshire and Cheshire, so the best covering will end up there I reckon.

Moderate snow falling now. Light covering so far. Radar looks good for a few hours.

I'm just on the edge of the band here, waiting patiently.  Yesterdays NetWx wasn't far off the mark..

Had about 15-20 minutes of moderate but wet snow, not even remotely sticking (unlike lower down than me in Cheshire...) completely stopped now. Again I see it turns into proper snow after crossing the border out of Shropshire (it has been heading up towards Cheshire all night, wind too southerly, but why did it perk up over Wolverhampton like that?)

Maybe those remaining bits in Wales might reach here as snow, who knows

A few cms have fallen now. Current moderate snowfall radar and Met app has it lasting until around 10am. Already way better than last winter and good model runs also this morning hopefully setting up a great Winter for us all.
