Although the band seems to be moving in a SW direction it seems to be building in intensity on the eastern side of the band at the same time which should mean at least Bham West gets a further spell of snow. Temp back at 0c now so should be all snow here.

Looks a bit far West to make it now. Would have to arc straight South to his us. Credit its where its due for the warnings its bang on unfortunately. A few showers behind the main band is best we can hope for tbh.

I wouldnt totally give up hope just yet, see how things are in an hour.

It’s definetly loosing intensity.....it’s typical..... this morning exactly the same and this afternoon the same...they used to say it was down to the the power stations, but a lot of them round here have closed now!!!!

BBC has me down for heavy snow from 5pm until midnight and Met Office have 2 hours of heavy snow from 5pm then 2 hours of light snow??? Who’s going to be right???

That part of the band won't be heading in a W/SW direction. The current pivot point is Leicester and just North of Birmingham. The area to keep an eye on would be this one, as it starts to track South, just North of Brum

I wasn’t looking that far E, I think the area you have highlighted will be more for central/ eastern?  areas. For the West of Brum I was looking at the area currently over Derbyshire but does seem to be losing its oomph a bit again. still expect a further covering though.

A question hopefully someone can answer....why is the ppn traveling from Lincoln through Nottingham loosing intensity as it heads South West, yet the ppn west of Brum is staying intact???

I have to say we have been spoilt this week and I am being very greedy. Friend just sent me a video from Stone and it's a whiteout. The angle that the front is moving through at leaves a split right over our heads in Rugeley.

Haven't posted in here yet, but we had our 3rd spell of falling/accumulating snow this morning. Along with 1-2CM Monday and the same Tuesday AM, we have been very lucky here this week.

More snow this week than we have in a couple of winters sometimes!

Good luck to everyone else.

Lol just because some frames it loses intensity there’s some it will gain, it’s a little system heading south. Anywhere around brum and to the north and north west of it will get a decent spell of snow. The whole lot will pivot in the end and move sse. Relax for a while and look out the window in few hours

It is unfortunately as I had a bit of a darker blue section above me and it was not snowing. Not seen a flake yet hoping that bit over Nottingham heading for derby keeps some.
