If this is right then it's sledging time for me

If it verifies maybe, but you’ll have to get them cobwebs of it first

i think the MO warnings out now are a little misleading because they are saying snow and ice for a large area but in reality most of that area will only be ice and a very small area will be snow! hope im wrong though.....

Quick rain shower just now, hardly any cloud cover over us. 4c. On the edge for snow tomorrow if that’s what falls. Looking like an interesting period for the Midlands!

Yes, we had the same shower here, but the dew point was 1.5'c ,so it was rain.

I'm starting to think tomorrow is a no go for this area, but we've been caught out so many times before that you never know.

Fingers crossed and good luck to us matey!! ❄️

How we doing midlanders? I used to be on this forum way back when as azores92 but couldnt find my login details so i've remade an account. Doing a postgrad in meteorology so obviously want to retouch base with this forum. Anyone out in south shropshire? Half a chance of some lying snow on the long mynd/clee hills tomorrow with this little feature so i may take a drive out there at lunchtime with the dog!

Hi all,

I’ll show the 18z various charts for the potential snowfall for tomorrow later. probably better anyway as the 12z wasn’t the best ....hopefully things may improve

A third wintry shower approaching and looks to be heading a mile to my north.

Tomorrow’s front looks to stop a mile west of me. Then computer models are showing snow showers a mile to my east tomorrow evening.

Yet to see a flake this winter.

Iv just had a good luck at the radar and there’s definitely stuff developing more widely to our west atm, I’m going to stick my neck out and say we might get some showers in the next hour or so, some may well get snow

So far it looks a tad East than the predicted track. I think the main issue is the intensity of the PPN so far its weaker than wat the euro4 showed if it doesn't detiorate i think the Midlands will get a covering at least.

Looking at radar out West in Irish Sea, that’s heading in but cannot be certain on track. Somewhere in Midlands though, not fully as modelled....

The hi res 18z nnms for tomorrow morning is touch better as it’s a little further east but regards snowfall it’ll be window watching for us all I’m afraid

I must admit I'm still baffled why folks get excited by a potential shower of Snow. Unless it's a good 4 inches then it's pointless as a shower simply disappears as quick as it comes. Lol.

whether it's a flake, shower or a foot of snow, it's the joy of just watching it fall and hopefully accumulating.
