Already down to 4.2C here now. Will likely hit freezing in the next couple hours. Will be nice to see freezing fog tonight which will hopefully give us a hoar frost overnight.

Dropped to a min of -2.0C at 7:30 this morning, under clear skies..

A bit of cloud built up this afternoon., but we are already in  for a good frost  with the temp already down to -1.1C in my  garden at 10:00..

Fog is starting to form.

Looking for snow now...

An update on the above for you, plus some news some may be interested in,,

-1,1C was the minimum for last night.

Low cloud crept in from the North and East and the fog disapated.

We had a night of variable cloud with the frost persisting until dawn, when it all cleared suddenly.

Clear skies and sunshine are now dominating with a tremp of 10.0C

My news   for anyone interested

The ISS is very visible tonight at a reasonable time assuming it stays clear.

It will appear in the due west about 20 degrees above the horizon at 17:59;30  and travel nearly overhead before disaapearing again in the east at about 18:04.

It is worth watching as it does not often get  this far north, and is about as bright as a normal Mars. (no  - it is not a bar!)

Pray for clear skies, and it should be worth a watch.

In the south it will come directly overhead, for those in the north it will be further to  the soiuth.

The ISS is nice to see, but you cant beat the sight of the Star Link Satellites. Last time i saw them was back in April though. ISS can been seen quite abit as long as the conditions are clear and its in the right area.

Probably high ground only. I have seen snow under this setup before but that was in late winter when sea surface temperatures are lower and so air at surface level is less ‘modified’.

Aye, certainly wet snow possible, but nothing sticking below 300m, similar setup to this which was a flop, air colder then too, not a sausage

Sparkliee..

I have problems with the 'train' of satellites.

Early this year my daughter rang to say she could clearly see them, I went out, but owing to my 'sight' issues (cataracts)  and the urban brightness around me I just could not see them!! Although she was talking me through it on the phone.

Ah well ...

I am still able to 'perform' for a bit of lamppost spotting!!

Hi all...Lamp post watching!  Can't wait!  Anything will be better though than this drab wet weather, cold and frosts will do.  Snow will be a bonus! ⛄

Grey and drizzly here in Telford, but looking forward to some colder weather soon, preferably of the white and blizzardy variety! I shall never forget early December 2017 when we had a foot of snow on the Friday (7th?) from the NW and then another foot on the Sunday from the SW, two totally unrelated weather systems giving me more snow than I'd ever had in my life to play with!

I keep hoping...

Had a lovely walk this morning in the fog. Would have preferred a bit of ice as well rather than slight miserable drizzle but still!

Bright Sun and dry here in Notts. Who knows what the end of the week will bring? Forecasts I’m seeing vary wildly, rain, sleet. Snow ⛄❄️ at least it looks interesting early December for a change!

Sunny day here also.  Temp at 5C now, More cloud overnight prevented it  dropping to freezing.

Getting my chosen lamp post all bright and cleaned up. Thinking of calling the council to give it a service!!

More important than boilers. You would have thought the gov would have leaned by now.!

I'm sure some may see a flake    prob more so above 300m    not bad however for very early December

Thurs evening a chance! snow moving across our region, -5 850's, light winds and decent thicknesses

Hopefully something like this will happen, as temps will be on the low side, maybe scraping low enough especially overnight, DP's to drop to or just below freezing Thurs Night and into Friday and Thickness will certainly be conductive for snow, there is a chance but not getting hopes to high yet. Will just have to keep an eye on the lamp post from Thurs Night
