A humid and cloudy night with high and medium level cloud throughout the evening and into the early hours as an area of heavy showers moved north west about 20 miles south of here. Towards dawn North Sea stratus spread in to give thick fog from 0500-just before 0800 g.m.t. There was a light shower around 0645 g.m.t but since then it's been dry and cloudy with the sun attempting to break through the cloud at times.

Heavy showers and Thunderstorms in the area cleared away through the early hours. Mostly cloudy this morning, a few brighter spells forming in the low cloud.

Mostly cloudy overnight turning misty and foggy. Dawning foggy, visibility <200 yards. Fog slowly lifting, by observation, misty and overcast. The sun slowly burnt of the low cloud through the morning, so by late morning good sunny spells developing, feeling very warm by afternoon. Some scattered heavy showers with thunder in the area by late evening.

Overcast until 1400 g.m.t then sunny intervals as the low cloud dispersed. Lots of distant showers during the afternoon, with thunder heard a long way to the south at 1500 g.m.t, but it remained dry here.

A fairly sunny afternoon after a thunderstorm passed through at 2pm. The evening starting dry before more thunderstorms moved in from the SE around 8.30pm with lingering rain from the storms slowly beginning to clear. Max temp 23.2c.

Dry and warm with sunny spells up to mid afternoon then a single torrential thundery shower around 4.30pm with nearly 20mm of rain in as many minutes, the most rain we've had in a day for months. Dry and fresher thereafter. Maximum 24.8, minimum 13.4. Wind light S.
