Thunderstorms moved north about 15 km east of here yesterday evening but produced only a short moderate shower in this area. Some cloud breaks during the late evening but low St spread in from the North Sea again during the early hours and there was thick fog from around 0200 g.m.t onwards.

Mostly cloudy overnight turning misty and foggy. Dawning foggy, visibility <200 yards. Fog slowly lifting, by observation, misty and overcast.

Variable cloud overnight. Dawning mainly cloudy and misty. A good deal of low cloud this morning, odd brighter spell. Cloudy for a good part of the morning, bright and sunny spells developing before noon. The afternoon saw further warm sunny spells, cloud increasing mid afternoon with thunderstorms breaking out locally producing a heavy downpour here early evening.

North sea clag burnt off a little quicker than yesterday with sunny spells from late morning. A dry warm afternoon with cloud slow to bubble up which it's doing now.

Max temp so far 22.9C now 22.3C, Barometer 1013mb falling slowly, Winds a light ENE breeze. Rainfall since midnight nil

Thick fog until 1030 g.m.t then sunny intervals gradually breaking through this afternoon as the status cleared and cumulus developed. Heavy showers a few miles to the east of here by late afternoon but remaining dry where I am.

Wonderful intense lightning and rainstorm over Boar's Hill from about 7:45 onwards, fantastic heavy downpour and brilliant display.
