Quite moderate falls in last 20 mins or so and now sticking to the usual suspects cars, grassy areas, trees branches etc... does look quite wintry but I don't think traffic control will be worried about settling on the major roads.

Edit: I mean the roads down to lower areas, I see now there are issues coming through in the higher routes.

Light rain here.  Nice to see snow covering the tops this morning though.  Parlick and all the fells up through the trough of bowland all had a decent enough covering this morning.

The picture below looks a little dull - in reality it looks a bit more whiter and prettier out of my window with a small coating of snow on the grass (Uppermill, Greater Manchester - 170m asl)

Hills around me I cannot really see as it's so dull but I suspect some of them have a good 10cm or more on

12:15 - it's still snow rather than sleet or rain, but I suspect it may only be a matter of time until the latter two arrive as temperatures and dews rise this afternoon

It is snowing here now but it is too wet to stick here though.  It needs to get heavy.

Now that the heavier PPN is beginning to move in the snowfall is beginning to stick here at 210m, lower than this morning's 350m snowline.

Encouraging reports from those in the East of the region even at fairly modest elevations so a chance of at least seeing snow falling here it seems.

Definitely whitening up there, you can see the pavements getting whiter and the cars.

Snowing Preston Town. Must be the approach of a New Ice Age.
