The charts and radar often leave Western side of the pennines out of the snow! Its always usually confined to the central spine.

All the models seem to agree on rain/snowfall today.  Things will be falling from the sky today...some models predict quite a lot...fingers crossed it's the frozen stuff.

Snow on the car this morning but that’s about it. Shopping in Shaw currently and afterwards it’s a trip over the tops to Albion farm.

should time that nicely with the incoming band of precipitation.

No surprises there is no snow here but the good news is the cold is here to stay. Just a couple of degrees above freezing.

Hopefully it will last until the new year but knowing this part of world it probably turn milder again.

Ive had some snow falling this morning nothing settling nice to see, my sister near maryport has quite a bit

The hills above 400m are white and now snowing 1c hopefully a covering we shall see  nw forecast going for 10-15cm take that with a pinch of salt... off to walk down to post office

a little dusting, but it would need to show 10ft snowdrifts up here for me to have a chance of wet sleet down here.... Still it's a start.

Incoming Sleet - the S&C Kirkby Stephen webcam has Snow.

No snow here in S Cheshire but drizzly rain in the last hour. Barometer has dropped quite suddenly and markedly to 973, which is as low as I've seen it for a while but no wind as such, which is normally associated with low pressure.

Out over the tops of saddleworth near Denshaw, Larry my dog doesn’t look overly impressed.

Sleet now turning to snow and at about 190m its settling on the roads. Top of North Road Glossop is looking Christmascard like.

It has been snowing pretty consistently the past hour and the flakes are slowly but surely turning larger. Already people on facebook are whinging and hoping it goes quickly! suckers

Snowing here but still no accumulation, it's just wetting the ground more than anything. Just needs to be a bit more intense.
