What a shocking day. Looking forward to the potential dry weather next week....hopefully it doesn't downgrade!

Woeful day as expected, one of those dark days before Christmas type days. Its depressingly dark outside has been all day really. Miserable! Can we not fast forward the clock 6 months please.

Don't mind these days at all....! the best season - character building 4 mile walk this morning with the Terriers.

Relaxing in the outhouse with the Oil Radiator and watching the rain (horizontal) sweeping across the fields.

Mmm it depends, sometimes can take them but not always. Its pitch black now. Its knowing we have a good 3 months before light levels return which make the adjustment difficult. By December you get used to it, and have festive lights to brighten things up.

Well today’s been a bit on the damp side.

On the plus side at least it stopped that wind blowing the dust about.☹️

A bit of an improvement today from yesterday but TBH after yesterday’s monsoon, anything would seem better.

it certainly wasn’t dry around these parts though’ more a case of being less wet but at least it gave time for river levels to fall back a bit again and give those in more flood prone areas a bit of a breather before tomorrow’s and Sundays rain starts to pile up again.

Western Cumbrian Fells had big rainfall yesterday also.  Atlantic weather in full spate.  But someone has to volunteer to face the onslaught and protect the rainshadows.

Getting extremely windy here. Roof creaking and gust sounds like a sharp intake of breath.

Venturing out within the next half hour to shop for my vulnerables, not poked my head out the door yet, but I can hear the wind gusting down my extractor fan.

I haven't got one of those but the wife has!

Not rained at all yet today and doesn’t look like it’s going to be too bad now apart from the wind. At least it will be dry and clear by this evening.

A decent breeze here. The first band of rain blew through in ten minutes though, I was expecting a bit more. There's a second band on the radar, but it looks a little less intense.
