Got heavier but turned to sleety rain. Bugger.

Yep, we now have pillowcases falling. Seriously big flakes! Filling in the gaps in snow cover nicely.

Best snowfalls are those that mark a change to deep cold, rather than mild and thaw. Always good knowing the snow will stick around, rather than building a snowman and everything drip drip and melting around you.

Looks like this heavier area of the band will actually miss this area. It's definitely moving south into the Midlands now. It's very light rain anyway.

Need to enjoy this while it lasts given the reports from the East/North of the region. Large flakes here probably sign of the marginal nature?

The radar seems to be very optimistic! Had some snow, then turned to sleet and now it's drizzle.

Pleasantly surprised, even here in Denton at 80m I’ve woken up to an inch of snow

Think the Radar watching was the most thrilling part of this event! Got a brief covering from the light stuff, now rain here in Pendlebury, not even our increased elevation of 80m here in one of the higher parts of Salford could help out! Bet that was about half a degree the wrong side of marginal! Next please!

Its always sucks when this feature turns out to be a transient affair.

Well I heard tameside council had gritted their roads but I think OMBC have had too much Turkey leftovers....the drive to work was treacherous...esp. side roads but even main A62 had not been gritted...but everyone was driving safely to the conditions...too early for the louts & boy racers they must still be asleep

About 2 or 3 inches here in Audenshaw, east Manchester 97m asl. Really happy with today. No marginality here, been snow all the way.
