Main interest looks this evening maybe 21:00 to the early hours. Ideal lampost watching if there was a lampost near us. Have to make do with the outhouse lightbulb.

Euro 4 agrees with that for what it's worth...

Updated Manchester Airport forecast no longer mentions any possibility of snow tonight and tomorrow so chances of snow may be looking minimal away from higher ground now. Even the warnings for Scotland state that the snow will likely turn to rain below 500m up there as time progresses tonight/tomorrow due to milder air from the East! Don't normally expect that in winter!

Weather warning out for our members in Cumbria for snow even at this stage the models haven't got a grip on this.Warning seems to indicate snow line to be 150m before rising later, probably explains why Man Airport have revised there forecast.

Horrible moderate cold rain here, hope to wake up to some snowy fells though, cant see any more than sleet here.

Much wetter than expected overnight. A lot of water on the fell and becks very lively. Looking across to Ingleborough snow level looks around 400m. Snowy on the Dale's passes.

Ribblehead and Tan Hill got a bit of the white stuff overnight but the PPN just wasn't heavy enough for evaporative cooling anywhere south of Marsden, hopefully later on tonight and into tomorrow offers better odds for the Peak District.

About an hour of wet sleety large snowflakes, ground and surfaces too wet for anything to stick to. Gone a bit milder now, so just cold light rain. Expecting snowflakes again in any more persistent heavier precipitation later this evening and overnight. Better chance of it sticking but will be temporary as temps climb tomorrow. Still can't see the fells. It's a very raw December winters day.

Yeah I think it's probably game over, prospects for later & tomorrow down the bog. 3C here with icy cold rain.

Yes, similar here. Light rain and rather still as well, but a real icy feel to the air. Probably be a case of blink and you miss it in terms of seeing any snow later in these parts. I think we'd need heavy precipitation aided by evaporative cooling to see snow here, so I guess we have a sniff of a chance later if things remain calm and we can get some heavier precipitation.

Radar has ppn starting to pivot.

Some clear skies here  - and it's not exactly tropical either.

Been out and about, the temperature at home is 3 degrees, top of the road is 2 degrees and sleet.

ppn getting heavier and pivoting, I’m not throwing in the towel just yet but I do believe we will get lucky tomorrow.

Snowing in upper Hulme on winking man camera but lightly and drizzly... same as here it’s been 2c all day and drizzly foggy yucky weather...

flash and winking man cams now have a covering of snow... slightly heavier precipitation turned to snow at these locations

3.5C and light/light moderate rain here in Runcorn. Hovered around this temp all day really. If we get some heavier PPN later, it might turn to slightly colder rain

I've started shouting again to get things moving, let's hope these words are a regular occurrence this Winter.
