Aye as with everything from the East it takes a while to get going over this side of the pens but once it crosses over that threshold it's absolutely bucketing it down now.  Nothing thundery though.

Could have swore I saw a flash of lightning then out the corner of my vision .. maybe it was just my mind playing tricks

Just started chucking it down here! Sudden gusty winds with distant rumbles of thunder now a monsoon downpour in progress.

Wind suddenly got up here in Whitefield

I think that could have been a gust front.

Caught something on my timelapse that night. You can see by the tree behind the detached house suddenly shaking as the gust front passes overhead starting 13 seconds in

Raining here. Looks to me the frontal edge has lost a lot of the really intense echoes now. Get the feeling it is just going to be wet more than anything else but who knows.

Yes, very wet underfoot here in South Cheshire this morning but no thunder or lightning last night that I was aware of. A damp quite humid morning and further showers anticipated later.

A slow start to the day with cloud and some drizzle up to half an hour ago. However, now hazy sunny spells are developing and we thankfully lost the dreadful easterly breeze.

Fingers crossed we get some surfaced based storms later.

Same here, although the black bases of the CB's are becoming more numerous and we've had one heavy shower earlier.

Towers shooting up in every direction. I get the feeling that areas just to the east of Manchester will do well in the next hour or so.

Same around Macclesfield, some huge towers in every direction, went dark 20 minutes ago, but it resulted in just a shower.  I don't know if there was a rumble, lots of noise outside at the moment, traffic, building work in a nearby property.
