More in the way of cloud today with the North Sea making it's presence known here in the east of the region. Nice cool breeze with it as well.

Absolutely steamy here. Top temp supposedly 26°C but the humidity is making it feel like 90+.

Good storms last night. They developed right overhead in a matter of 20 minutes with very frequent ? and thunder.

You are in a good place for some more evening action today and you may also catch a shower in the coming days.

For the rest of us a boring few days to come.

Constant rumbling to my South now.

Noted lightning maps not picking up strikes!

Currently on the North Yorkshire coast and a cold, damp sea mist all day. Can't wait to get back to South Cheshire tomorrow!

Aye, know how that feels

Its been like a sauna today, I would have loved to cool down in those East Coast conditions.

As was the case yesterday, I would expect the Metoffice to remove most, if not all of the region from the warning for today to tie in with the text forecast. We will see.

The good news is that the models are looking more promising from tomorrow onwards. The slack low pressure from the south is going to deepen slightly and start moving slowly north. We just have today to get through.

No storms here last night but I got a good nights sleep unlike the night before which is something I suppose.

No you wouldn't, I assure you. I don't mind a dry mist, as per Wednesday morning and evening, but it was a cold, damp and thick sea mist on the coast at Whitby yesterday and this morning, and I couldn't wait to get back over the moors, with increasing sunshine and warmth as I headed west to South Cheshire.

Cool and cloudy today here, suspect western parts of the region have the "lions share of the sunshine" as the forecaster put last night on itv Granada weather.
