Hopefully it clears, the suns comes out and starts to fuel some t-storms later today.

Last night was truly epic and I don't want to be greedy but I would love another storm today

Conditions at the moment look promising, sun out, nice & warm @ 27c if it stays cloudless I can see it breaking 30 in an hour or 2 which will hopefully give us plenty CAPE for a storm this evening/tonight

Last night was strange. We had lightning constantly. Non-stop, completely. Then one heavy shower with two claps of thunder. And that was that. But constant lightning throughout. Flashes every 1-2 seconds. Madness. 22C at 1am it was. Holiday weather.

Congrats to those who enjoyed the pyrotechnic show up the west coast last night...not a dicky bird here, only plus was an uninterrupted nights sleep.  However we have started with some heavy drizzle which for a mill town is very fitting.  Hopefully it clears, the suns comes out and starts to fuel some t-storms later today.

Yep a quiet night here too, fingers crossed for later.

Some brief storms down in S Cheshire last night more like heavy showers to be honest. Hot & Humid with hazy sunshine today at 28c. Looking even hotter tomorrow 29-32c with feel like temperatures with humidity  in the mid- high 30’s! Could well beat the summer high of  31c recorded on July 31st down here! Quite impressive for this part of the world☀️

Still no shower development yet despite the high humid conditions...although a patch of anathrop has just hit Preston...

Well that was a storm to remember! Continuous lightning for 5 hours and then thunder. As for the rain roads and some houses in our village flooded. Wonder what tonight will bring?

Sweltering here. The odd tiny patch of cumulus but no signs that the cap is in any imminent danger of being broken here...

A very uninspiring Meto fotrecast for this evening

Any isolated thunder storms dying out leading to a dry humid night

Swelteringly hot afternoon we’ve hit 30.5c here in S Cheshire. Not looking great for storms tonight but tomorrow evening/ night may well hold more promise ⛈☀️

Lots of thunder lightening heavy rain overnight. A hot day here currently 28 degrees, wind switched to the SE and barely any of it. A very humid night ahead not sure if we will have any showers. Tomorrow looking equally hot.

Little bits of activity popping up now in middle England but they appear very localised and slow moving.  Muggy & humid night to come but will there be any T&L?...

Another one now popped up over Bala, similar to yesterdays beginnings which led into epic coastal storms, hopefully we can see the same again, looks like Midlands is popping up too

Hot and humid day here with some hazy sunshine. Got to about 27°C. I really hate this hot, humid weather as it just saps all your energy. I don’t like this muggy murky continental rubbish, I much prefer high pressure bang over the country with clear blue skies, low humidity and cool nights, like we had in 2018. We need a good storm to clear the air.
