Reached 29c! Doubt we’ll reach 30c this late in the day though.

This wind tonight feels amazing. It has a very unusual quality to it. It is very thick and blustery and full of character. It feels like it has a history. A wind of change. At least it’s dry for now.

Yes I enjoyed the wind on Tuesday. Windy but very mild/balmy.

Dew point of 18C out there. Certainly warm air aloft at the moment. Air temp gradually creeping up indoors too. Going to feel sticky for the foreseeable given the dew is probably going to stay above 15C for a while.

Yeah currently 23C in the bedroom and feeling warm.

Cloudy and muggy here in Barmouth.

Still nice and warm on the beach though.

I went to Barmouth last August as well. Unfortunately for me, it was cold and windy for almost the whole time and I had a terrible cold all week as well. I then traveled home in glorious sunshine. Couldn't make it up.

London temperature at midnight 29C! Good chance of the high minimum temp record being broken. Anyway just glad it's a lot cooler up here in the NW.

Yes me too. It must be horrible trying to sleep in those conditions. I feel sorry for those who have to work outdoors or in buildings without air con.

At least it's been warm and stayed dry which is more than we can say for most of this summer so far....

Should be more sunshine tommorow IF the forecast is correct. Big if though as last night it was forecast for “sunny intervals” here but we didn’t see much.

It has become increasingly warm over the last few days here but it's also been very cloudy. It's been that typical warm, cloudy, humid type weather, with strong winds and a fresh feel on Tuesday with some dampness at times but it has become increasingly less damp, less breezy and warmer since then.

However it's been nowhere near as hot as it's been down in the south east, just wish I had a bit more sunshine. Today was forecast for "sunny intervals" but it's been very cloudy all day with just a little bit of late afternoon sunshine. But at least it's warm and dry and very pleasant usable weather - something that has been lacking in this region so far this summer.

I love the heat. I really do. But London can keep their 35-38C. I’m happy with high twenties.

Cloudy almost all day despite forecasts of hot and sunny weather. It’s being downgraded for each day regarding sunshine too. Temps are good. Sunshine amounts shocking.

Don't often see this this far out Regional Met Office for NW England, Mon to Wed

"There is a risk of severe thunderstorms through this period which could be interspersed with clearer and sunny spells. Staying warm and humid during both day and night."

There is now a continuous warning for  thunderstorms Mon to Wed on metoffice website. lt is covering the whole of the UK as well. I don't think I've ever seen that. Outside chance of a storm this evening and overnight it seems as well for good measure.

Usual Cheshire grotty wall to wall cloud here this morning... And not sure exactly where this "scorching heat" is. Yesterday was much the same until the skies cleared very late on.

Must have got lucky here then as it’s been full sunshine here since I got up, and it was a clear and starry sky last night so I assume the sky stayed clear all night and morning.

Not too hot either, just pleasantly warm.

Currently 23°C with 57% humidity according to my phone. Similar temp to yesterday but with less humidity and a lot more sunshine.

A little wispy cloud starting to appear now but by no means spoiling things.

It's improved a bit from this morning tbh, but not exactly clear blue skies and sunshine here. Got some high level cloud takes the edge of the temps but still pleasantly warm.

Yes. Thundery showers forecast pretty much all week here. August tends to be one of the best months for thunder and this month looks like no exception. The temps are decent but I fear there will be little in the way of sunshine next week. Hopefully I am wrong.

Satellite picture shows it is clear skies across almost the whole country, so anyone stuck under cloud all day has been very unlucky. Guess there is just a few stubborn banks of cloud today. A bit more cloud here now but still mostly sunny. The wind is NE today which is a good wind direction here as we are sheltered by the pennies to some degree.
