Really heavy with the rain bouncing on the street! Just heard thunder !

I like that the wind dropped when the showers arrived. I don't like fast moving showers so much.

Sunday and Monday looks pretty horrendous for NW England. Heavy rain and windy, and temperatures only in the low teens. The rain getting stuck on the west of the Pennines, and a strong south westerly wind. A yellow rain warning has been issued.

Just had some really heavy rain and rumbles of thunder from the cell that passed over the lake district. Has been quite a thundery month. Tomorrow looking like a vile autumnal day, a day for inside jobs I think.

It’s either got to be boiling hot or raining. So little useable weather round here.

Another torrential downpour followed by bright sunshine.

More like April than the end of June and given tomorrow’s forecast and weather warning, parts of the region could be facing more flood misery in the next couple of days.

There are some serious amounts of rain being talked about, certainly for Cumbria and parts of Lancashire.

Heavy showers off and on all day, thundery around lunchtime with a loud bang at one point and brief flashes of lightning.

Tomorrow and Monday could produce significant rainfall here, ending what will be a wet month, making up for the very dry April and May. I've said so many times how we often see lengthy dry periods suddenly exchanged for very wet ones and vice versa..

Absolute monster of a downpour in progress here with hail. A rumble of thunder too.

Same here although no thunder

Not complaining though if it means we don’t have to put up with a repeat of last nights 6 hour long local outdoor rave.

It was a nice storm that formed very quickly! I didn't get the hail but heard several rumbles of thunder.

Seven day forecast for Burnley looks absolutely terrible considering it’s summer. Very cool temperatures, lots of rain and very little sunshine if this is right.

Cold, wet and windy tonight. Even the rain feels cold too, unlike the warm rain recently. You would think it was November if you didn't know better.

Oh dear, what a poor start to the day, heavy rain, strong winds. Forecast is for this to stick all day, 4 inches on high ground. Max temp 12 degrees. November in late June.

June 2020 will end up being a very wet month here.

Escaping the worst of the rain here at present, but as the low drifts ever so slightly north east during the day the winds will drive in the rain according to the forecasts, although not with the intensity of yesterday showers. Upstairs of house is finally starting to cool down now fresher weather is here.

It was dry throughout the night here and still dry now. The Welsh mountains are catching all the rain. The northern half of the region looks wet.

Really surprised about that as it was pouring down here last night and we've had some moderate to heavy bursts of rain today, driven in by strong winds which makes it feel even worse. And people say Manchester is wet.

Here in Piccadilly it was dry till lunchtime today then a couple of light showers blown in the wind. The radar did show a line of heavy showers just north of here but I missed them narrowly.

It will likely turn wetter here too as the wind turns more westerly.

Update constant rain so far all day, no let up expected until late tomorrow morning  The wind is the most notable feature, very strong, feels unusual. Lots of streams and rivers are very lively for the first time since mid-March. Ground much wetter than has been since then as well.

Max temp 13 degrees.

A far cry from Thursday's 29 degrees.

Still raining here. Unlike Damianslaw we have had some drier breaks but they've not lasted for very long. Like last summer the weather is going from one extreme to the other - very hot to unseasonably cold and wet within 2-3 days. Not a fan. Would prefer some warm (but not baking hot) and settled sunny weather.

No rain at all today in S Cheshire and, as karyo suggested earlier, we seem to have been protected here by the Welsh mountains, with the rain going north into Lancashire and Cumbria. However a strong and perishing cold wind for the time of year and this has not reduced at all today.

My daughter woke me at 4:30 this morning, the rain was lashing the windows. Has barely stopped all day, not particularly heavy as only on 31mm since midnight. Wind has been relentless though, some branches off trees, temp hasn't been above 12*. Proper autumn storm in midsummer.
