Just been on a walk for an hour today. Thought the extra breeze might make it more feel more comfortable but it felt just as hot as yesterday, if not hotter. Brought some cold drinks with me and sat in the shade for a bit which helped but when I got back in I was absolutely exhausted and had to change my t-shirt as it was covered in sweat. Didn't really enjoy being outside tbh. I know a lot of people love it but I just wasn't built for heat I guess. I'd rather deal with rain than this.

It's also hot and stuffy indoors - 25°C and 68% humidity in the bedroom.

Its days like like this when you wish for snow! ☃❄️

Really looking forward to the thunderstorms tommorow and the cooldown on Saturday. Can't come soon enough! ?⚡☔

BBC Weather app forecasted highs of 26°C today here but it’s definitely felt hotter than that. Liars.

Given the grass a quick going over with the mower, because it's all change tomorrow... probably will feel very sticky but could have done without the morning hit with the showers for the first batch... probably more intense possibilities later in the afternoon.  Hoping for some real humdingers to bid farewell to this short, burst of heat we've had.

Can see flashes looking west now and again from the i.o.m storm but no thunder, never seen lightning without thunder before infact its the first time ive seen lightning this year. Would be a good show from the coast id imagine, not a great view from here, too many trees and houses in the way.

Light rain here in North Liverpool currently 20.3c. Not getting over excited for any thunder atm

Brief but sharp shower here. The sky looks lovely and interesting after several days of nothingness.

More showers coming from north Mids and northeast Wales.

Heavy rain here from left over convective mess which has moved up from the South. No lightning or thunder. This should clear through within next hour or so. Hopefully we get enough of a clearance and sun to generate energy for some afternoon storms to develop.

Peeing down here at the moment but no thunder or lightening.

as others have said, hopefully a clearance to some sunshine will up the storm potential for later in the day.

Can't see any action on the cards for us here today but fingers crossed anyway. Does seem to be warming up and brightening a bit from a grey rainy start

The sun is out now and hoping for ignition...

If the 6z Arpege is correct there should be heavy showers breaking out after 3pm. The 0z euro4 didn't look as promising though.

Meto raw now has zero thundery activity for Manchester.BBC raw says yes, guess we won't have to wait long to find out.

Just grey overcast with on/off rain here. Still very muggy as well.

I have to say I am not feeling optimistic. The Arpege often overdoes the shower activity. and the other models are looking less interesting.

It will get sunny very soon.

Let's hope something pops up in east/northeast Wales and heads our way.
