We had the worst rain I've ever seen last night. It flooded even the hardiest of roads. I was out doing deliveries and it made for very hard (fun) driving conditions. Frequent lightning, thunder overhead. Luckily I can adjust the stiffness of the steering on the car, so when the roads are bad, change mode and it makes it easier to control the car in difficult conditions.

Loved it. If I can't have an actual summer this year (June is my favourite month of the year) then I guess thunderstorms are the next best thing. More forecast today but as always, they're very hit and miss aren't they.

Rumble of thunder here as a cell approaches from the East.

Areas in the southern parts of the region need to watch the showers in the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire are. Hopefully it will develop as it moves westwards.

Sky looking very dark to the East here, can hear some rather meaty rumbles of thunder, guess there's a cell developing overhead

Yeah rumbles have stopped now though so short lived T-Storm here Wonder if the cells in the midlands heading our way will give us anything later ?

Hope so! I’ve been working 12hour shifts Monday and Tuesday so missed all the action around manchester. Here’s to positive thinking

Continental type summer weather favouring Cheshire so far . Again, warmest spot in the country and thunderstorm capital !

It's been a Cheshire "thunderstorm" gap in reverse....although such is the localised setup that not all parts will be getting in the mix.

It's been a quieter day here in the east of the north west region but some interesting buildup around Sheffield area heading this way but the Peak hills will probably snuff it out
