That storm was an absolute belter. Had a clear view of the positive strike from here. Not sure if I captured it on video

Captured this Cb shooting up real time and this was the makings of the storm that headed to Lancashire.

Been outside watching the amazing light show. Only came in 5 mins ago when torrential rain and winds picked up. Still lots of activity going on.

If I lean far enough out the bedroom window I can still see the tops of that thing lighting up occasionally o_O

Got thunder and lightning again to my S. What a day, happy as a pig in muck

Can see that one flashing away to my West too xD  Pretty certain I saw a CG from it in my peripheral vision as I was looking at the one to my NW.

Southeasterlies are definitely the answer for the Northwestern portion! From the SE with love!

Let's hope we can get the CZ setting up over us tomorrow...could be more fun and games if so.

Still lightning one every second or so on the radio but there’s so much I haven’t got a clue where it’s coming from. No more audible thunder now though. Tonight is amazing just for the sheer amount of sferics.

Caught a second storm of the day just west of Birmingham between Walsall and Wednesbury with more squally winds, rain, lightning and thunder. However, I think the main part narrowly missed me to the north. So, I then chased it up the M6 towards Stafford, eventually getting directly underneath it. There wasn't much lightning (probably 1 every 2 mins) but some spectacular IC bolts and the odd CG and some torrential rain. Now parked up just northwest of Stafford having just watched it depart.

Can't believe another day of possibilities tomorrow, perhaps closer to home too. This is whatJune should be like

Yes, if that CZ sets up across the N Midlands you won't have to go far.

From the models I've looked at (GFS, HIRLAM, ARPEGE), they all seem to be going for it.

These are a few shots from the storm just before it came through.  It was heading towards me almost exactly opposite of the setting sun, so it made an amazing sight, as if the storm was emerging through the rainbow!
