There’s a clear slot over central France at the moment and showers are pepping up in this zone. Look how fast the Luxembourg one kicked off - one or two of these a little further west puts a lot of us in the firing line for later

Might be something heading to the channel islands and beyond

Lol you might want to have a look at 30 April 2010, where the risk was slight for almost the whole day, and only upgraded to High in the last (01z) update! The torndo risk was slight for the whole day until the last 2 updates. Not related but thought that might have been a better example

Slight to Moderate then High  ? I chased it lol and saw a Tor in Arkansas

Just had a heavy shower in Ipswich, looking at the radar there's bits and pieces of showery rain spewing over from Holland and Belgium. If there is anything electrical later then somewhere around Skegness may be a good shout, would see anything out to sea and closer to home there too.

Looking at the trajectory of that monster to the WSW of Luxembourg, I’d say N Norfolk, somewhere like Cromer would be a good place to be. It’s going to be very tight if it makes landfall or not, judging by the upper steering flow. That’s even if it holds out. But it’s a start at least!

Here was the general theme through the day. I didn't include all outlooks, but you can see the final update was a high

That South Luxembourg storm is splitting, the left one heading more N/NW,the UK would be more in the firing line from this.

I few have already tried dipping their toes in the channel and died a frigid death very quickly.

It is. But it’s moving at a fair pace on Sat 24. One hell of a thing too.

One can only hope!

Interesting skies this evening!

Not expecting anything but worth keeping an eye on the radar this evening on developments over Benelux!

Am jealous just of the fact people are seeing some form of cloud definition! It has been muggy and hazy with dull stratiform detritus all day!!! Not even a smidge of AcCas to marvel at.
