Oh wow! My mistake then. The radar didnt scream supercell, but i guess they rarely do in this country.

I think there may be some confusion here - the cell in question I presume is this one that moved westwards to the south of Ringwood between 16:10-16:25?

Not entirely sure where this visible mesocyclone is over SW England right now though...

Yep Dan

Think there were wires crossed and wrong picture of a cell further west into Devon.

The Weak Supercell was south of Ringwood around 1615

Radar of that supercell near Ringwood. Radar can be deceiving at times.

Certainly nothing obvious. If you did have a supercell moving from east to west and it was obv on radar, would the classic image be flipped?

Anway nice bit of convection over south london now. Had one of those strange 10 second showers half an hour ago.

AROME, NMM & UKV all supportive of an elevated MCS moving NW across EA & Lincolnshire very early on Sat. AROME/NMM further south than UKV though.

Time to get the camera charged and the tank full, just in case its worth chasing!

When you flip the 16:15 radar image, it looks more obvious.

Wow, that's into chasing range for me for sure.

Shame it's the NetWx model, it rarely gets storms correct

ISO 100, 30 sec exposure, f22, and yes I was quite lucky as I have always struggled to capture anything as good even though we have had plenty of storms since!

I'm a novice when it comes to photography but always love giving it a go regardless

To add to the sheer confusion/spread of timings and placement about tomorrow night, the latest GFS does this:

Edit: sorry, cut out the time. That's for 21z!
