It's all going around the top of my location - I can't say i'm surprised or disappointed as it happens extremely often.

Lightning detector has picked up a couple of strikes circa 25km.

My watchful eye is on tomorrow night into Saturday. Obviously a storm risk for some parts before this but on current prognosis I would likely be heading out and chasing in the early hours of Saturday morning. I do enjoy night time lightning and it's been a long time since I have seen any (early hours of July 24th last year)

Do you at least have some sunshine? Just grey with light rain here in N Somerset now.

Yeah, had a couple of hours of it bumping the temp past 21°C. Blowing an absolute hoolie with it!

Is there an explanation for that? As usually a southeasterly wind is a more favourable direction for storms in our area with these setups

Yh sorry about that - Im usually in the USA from May to Mid July and my presence in the SE Corner might be tampering with your usual May and June Storm Risks. Hahaha

I thought it was just here! Absolutely howling!!! Next round to the east is slightly further south so we might get another shot!

Think this one is also just missing but it’s closer than the last one.

East Anglia looks like it could be in for something tomorrow night/early hours with a weakening MCS modelled crossing the sea, moving WNW.

Could hit Essex/Kent too.

I was watching the potential imports from France to the South East. Sadly they're drying out as they move over the Channel.

Yep just a load of low cloud here now, not even any rain in them, although I think the actual showers went south of here, probably left over anvil cloud or something.

Indeed, keeping an eye on this too. EURO4/UKV offer some support this an MCS/Storms to drift up into East Anglia tomorrow night though they clip EA more than the NMM suggests. These then continue north-westwards and go on to produce a storm risk across N England/N Midlands during Saturday.

Raining heavily now but that's all it is at the moment

The newer stuff to the east looked promising however rapidly losing intensity as it moves into the New Forest. Again very frustrating and looks like we'll get just a messy shower or two now.

All the storms in the last hour have missed me by the skin of my teeth, but we were already up to 35mm of rain from the storms between 1pm and 2pm. I wouldn't be surprised if there are spots recording over 50mm, maybe even 75mm, from these storms near me in Portsmouth.
