East hasn't been best for many, many years sadly!

excuse me what is TOD and COS

TOD is Triangle of Doom (Lowestoft to Colchester)

COS is Cone of Silence

Today looks like staying dry into this 5 day storm extravaganza

Saturday 0.00mm

Sunday 0.00mm

Monday 0.0mm

Tuesday 0.0mm

Wednesday 0.00mm

Anyone able to match that ?

The cell near Warwick has finally got it's act together. That'll be the first one to keep an eye on for us then.

The stuff extending towards Peterborough should get further north as the day progresses so I'd expect something. Best place to be is on the slopes of the Peak District of course so I'd expect Nottingham and Sheffield to have a great day later.

Belper is directly to the SE of the Peak District so hopefully I can get a storm at home. Normally Belper is poor for storms as the Peak District shelters it to the west and the north, but this week is a rare set up these days.

I might be in luck, it's just been cirrus clouds all day, no comulus in sight till I looked east, not the best pic because of houses in the way, I'm hoping to attempt to get more lightning pics, if I get anything at all

Damn, these storms are slow moving.

Ive had one rumbling away in my back yard now for about 2 hours! (not overhead though ? sadface. )

Gave us a good show for a while in Cheltenham. Still rumbling on now to the north.

Impressive amount of rain!

the cell is just over us, no thunder though

Yes it looks way more impressive on radar than it does in the flesh.

Rain has stopped here for now, but still visible to my east. Looking at radar, France has had some more build this side, so some more rain likely here soon most likely. Not sure if they'll be any distant rumbles with it this time, seem more reluctant to electrify even over there now.

I've got a few strikes logged on my website from that gubbins North of me. Other than that, no thunder heard throughout this whole ordeal.
