Chris' face there is as shocked as mine will be if that comes off above my head

Doesn't this kind of set up produce tornado activity??

whereabouts in Lincolnshire is this showing for?

The further west the better.

You can see on the radar now that the convergence will open up along a line from about Leicester to Grantham impacting places further north over the day.

Today is one of our better days, but tomorrow could herald a few surprises. Plus there’s the potential of the MCS import Thursday!

hoping for today and Thursday here in Spalding, but i’m in Lynn tomorrow so i think being further east probably prohibits my chances even more

4pm looks promising for my location but i won’t hold my breath..

cant complain too much, moved here in November and i’ve already experienced a storm in April so it’s nice to see some areas get a sharing that normally find it harder to get activity

It’ll be radar watching tbf. Yesterday nearly saw a storm hit lynn, but it fizzled out. The Norfolk convergence zone would favour Lynn if it gets to work!

My interest is on the cells near to Leicester/Hinckley. I could intercept them around Burton on Trent.

Another interesting forecast from the Beeb! Thursday.

I made a post re that yesterday

It's a tricky one for those of us closer to the coast. If that front is further to the North, the risk moves North - more to the Midlands. If the front is further South, cloud will hamper convection. From my back yard perspective, it's a close call and also why the MetOffice' warning shows the lowest confidence on their warning matrix. It's a fine balance!

Sferics detected in the cell near Salisbury. Can still just about see it although it’s gradually moving further away

Those cells developing around the Salisbury area are on a favourable trajectory for my location.  Hoping they can turn considerably more thundery, quickly!

Nothing is moving quickly. They are more likely to pulse, develop in different parts of the general area of instability rather than the current heaviest cells survive for long.

Your best bet might be for a new cell or 2 to develop in the current clear gap North of Warminster then drift NW.

Sadly not here. West Yorkshire is still under the North sea cloud right now, temperature increased to a whole 17C.

May showers in June - better late than never I guess.

Beautiful skyscapes to the northwest, distant views of the thunderstorms over the Brecons. Also seeing fast development of cbs further east. I'm in the sunny bit in the middle now copping the rays.
