I can see that in the distance too, looks quite sinister!

Sorry you in the same zero chance as me! Probably be the same all week to be honest although Wednesday currently has something of a chance.

Good example of sea breezes killing shower activity, I mean it's raining here but only light to moderate and the shower clouds looking a little sorry for themselves. Still a bit of time for things to change as Saturday night showed for some.

Looks like the exact same thing is happening today as it did yesterday - storms developing a few miles north of here and then intensifying as they move north.

There must be some sort of explanation to this behaviour?

First signs of things getting going around Nottingham

Yeah, looks they're heading northwards too so I'm hoping they make it up to Barnsley later.

It looks as though it has been lively in here today?

UKV showing an interesting feature developing  in the South during the small hours and moving WNW / NW across parts of Somerset/Glos/Wilts in to South Wales. It shows some high PPN rates as it heads that way.

GFS really beefs up tomorrow's potential. Looks like there could be some really hefty, slow moving storms knocking about.

Decided to come out west of town to look at the storm that was heading into wales. Is decaying. Nothing but a load of rain.

It looked and felt really good here earlier today, Sun was out and it was really warm, humid and felt ripe, Alas 13:30 low cloud and crud has rolled in and it feels/looks utterly flat, fingers will remain crossed but not much hope, still plenty of bites at the cherry for the rest of the week hopefully

Certainly does, and now something developing and looking dark behind the Wolverhampton Cell too, might be back building. Or a separate cell.

Might be a bit more in luck for anyone south of Wolvo in the Birmingham area - Looks like something is trying to bubble up around Birmingham now!

Quite a few models break out an interesting area of Precip as Mapantz says above, this could be the initiation already SW of London and over the Chilterns moving west north west. Could be good for areas North of the M4 and the Severn Estuary as the evening wears on and this was the extra Slight area that Dan alluded to yesterday in his forecast

Been watching stuff here trying to break the cap all day. Some of it has, but the cumulus just cannot seem to get the height sufficient enough to get sparking.
