That shower which went through here was biblical in the rain amounts! Loads of surface flooding already

Interesting this forecast mentions a ‘hole’ in higher CAPE values in central southern England due to stubborn cloud. Very happy to say I’ve got sun here in Gloucestershire already. It feels a bit warmer and a bit more humid than yesterday morning as well. We had a great storm yesterday, so hopefully a repeat today!

Ive got the cloud, but I'm not in the slight anyway, and now I can see why. First cloudy morning all week lol

Jesus. Multiple strikes to the west of Ashford and there is only a smudge of light rain!

Not far enough for me, it needs to be pretty much in the N Sea

Indeed. But hey at least the sun is starting to break through and some interesting clouds around. We get rain tomorrow, that’s an upgrade from the drizzle :yahoo:

First shower of the day looks to be on track for a direct hit here, hopefully a good sign of things to come!

Blue skies and Cumulus here atm, though more cloud than sky (75%/25% split)  Can see the high milky cloud layer to my south (go away please ) Temps already above 19C and still rising quickly, as is the dew point (16C) with humidity lurking around 80%.  Far better than yesterday.

Fingers and toes are crossed.

Mouthwatering looking convection off to my NNE.

Nothing visible to me E or SE over Kent unfortunately as the sky is quite milky.

This is the one you want if you want it to just focus on the UK:

Well its not clearing from here lol, and looks like I'm getting something a bit thicker from france, probably another rain less anvil. Will check radar soon.

Are you sure? Looks way too small and nearby to be the Kent one from there. There are newer returns on the radar that are much nearer to you which would line up with that image.

Anyone know if the rain leaving Belgium currently, is likely to reach here in east Anglia today, or is that what’s coming in over night? I’m clutching at straws for anything other than rain to come this Far East I suppose!

Yay! The best update is they’ve expanded the Thursday risk northwards and re-categorised it as “Thunderstorm”

Does it still hit Dover lol, I wasn't even sure it would before tbf
