The suns come out and almost immediately a Cu field has developed, already some depth observed to Cu just east of my current position at the driving range right next to Bournemouth airport

Not far enough for me, it needs to be pretty much in the N Sea

Yay! The best update is they’ve expanded the Thursday risk northwards and re-categorised it as “Thunderstorm”

Looks like the next 24 hours could provide some excitement for those of us around the London area!

Fresh and dull here this morning. Doesn't feel like anything is on. Yet

Have faith. Your relative humidity is actually higher today than recent days (blue line)...

Wow. Towers going up and the sun isn’t even fully out yet here. They have gotten bigger already since taking that photo a minute ago

I haven’t tracked dew points over the past few days but I recall @Paul Sherman citing figures of 10-13C for the SE in recent days - this morning on checking, parts of the SE will benefit from dew points of 14-15C today so should make for more interesting developments

Yes let’s hope! Here’s how they’ve developed in just 6 minutes or so

Will be out around Shropshire again. In last three days been as far west as the boarder with Wales (which we are not allowed to cross even for Storm chasing reasons) And as far east as the boarder with the West Midlands (which I dont want to cross for personal reasons ;)

Today might be the day to head south to deepest darkest 6 fingered Herefordshire!

Yeh its a bit silly that you cant cross the border even for chasing reasons! Not like your going to be around other people!

And unfortunately im in the west midlands I can certainly agree with you not wanting to cross here

You're right. It's 74% atm, yet feels fresh. Just need some heat!

Thinking as the risk pushes further south, that today I could be in a much better situation for an even stronger storm, might even go out for a chase locally if the risk is good. Good luck all.

Three strikes randomly just appeared in Kent (near Smarden). Nothing but a patch of light looking rain on radar
