Tony Gilbert of UKWW actually puts me in the possible weak FC/TN box for today.

That's encouraging; i'm in it too and Tony is very knowledgeable.

It has to be our turn down here either today, overnight, or tomorrow, surely? Bored of seeing everything go up to Reading and beyond. It'd be a joke to go this entire 'thundery' period with zilch.

Was out chasing most of yesterday afternoon/evening initially focusing on the storm around Leicester but it was decaying by the time I caught up with it.

After a few frustrating hours of popcorn storms building then dying I eventually managed to get under the storm over Lutterworth and saw some fantastic overhead lightning. Will try and upload video later in the week but will be busy chasing again today.

Really enjoying all the pics and videos in this thread, what a week it's been so far for some parts! Good luck today all.

Fog just lifted. Looking north we have towering Cumulonimbus clouds yet again but will we catch anything today

This could be the day where I can finally join the excitement crew that has been happening for the past 4 days

Did you end up seeing anything?

I'm unsure on what to do today at the moment, probably going to stay at home to see how the developments take place. Probably won't travel too far Mendips should be a good enough vantage point for me.

Will be out around Shropshire again. In last three days been as far west as the boarder with Wales (which we are not allowed to cross even for Storm chasing reasons) And as far east as the boarder with the West Midlands (which I dont want to cross for personal reasons ;)

Today might be the day to head south to deepest darkest 6 fingered Herefordshire!

Unfortunately a bit to far south for me. I'm sure it won't change,  Taunton way do fairly well storm wise.

Well what a great day that was yesterday for many areas, I decided to go out chasing but I was mainly chasing the cells around Somerset which had formed on a convergence zone I initially waiting around Shepton Mallet for a while and headed towards the Glastonbury where one of the cells had continues thunder and some lightning flashes which were mainly IC strikes but towards the peak of the storm it let out 3 CGS which I unfortunately did not capture but here are a few pictures from yesterday

Incredibly warm and muggy here already, a classic stormy feel to the day so far.

So going through my footage from yesterday and this is the first strike my camera caught, wonder how many more there are in this footage

Yay! The best update is they’ve expanded the Thursday risk northwards and re-categorised it as “Thunderstorm”
