interesting storm to my west, plenty of thunder, but what interests me is the radar loop and the low level rotation I've observed....zoom in on post code sn15 and watch the storm motion....almost due north against the WNW flow of surrounding cells.....looks quite well organised with a decent hail core

Possibly. Was there evidence of rotation in the storm itself, that's generally a way forward in determining a funnel cloud from just some scud. I've seen plenty of scud lowering that look like funnels.

it’s open for adjustments but what more do you need to know?

edit: before I get beaten up this is courtesy Tony Gilbert @ UKWW

Move the risk box 50 miles north and 50 miles west and it’s spot on.

You think Shrewsbury will get some more thunder and lighting soon ??

Chances are the activity to your SE will peter out before it reaches you. However if you're lucky you may see some distant lightning as the sun goes down

Decent storm over between Macclesfield and Buxton just before. One cracking bolt of lightning that made the sheep scatter while I was on top. Might have been a positive bolt.

This storm to the south of Birmingham is an absolute beast, cant wait to see how it develops.

Was excellent here in Bromsgrove... we thought it was skirting past thru the Redditch area then it swung westwards and BOOM!!

It seems to have grown over Solihull again to the points there is constant rumbling in the sky.

Feels like it’s all too slow moving for us to get here before nightfall. And it’s back building to the north east now.

Things for us to keep eye on are the cell over Wolverhampton slowly moving west. With lightening near Shifnal.

And my personal favourite storm of the day defying all the wind direction starting just west of Gloucester and stubbornly going NORTH for hours and hours and still east of the A49. Now north of Leominster and still going just about. If that gets here fair play!

Looks like the cell over Birmingham will just miss me but atm will get hit by the little hook at the SE edge.
