When will these storms start to die out. My guess would be the loss of daytime heating????

OMFG latest WRF is crazy. Massive upgrade for this evening or tomorrow and this area. showing li down to -5 this evening with MUCAPE up to 1500 just before midnight. Steering flow seems to be more or less easterly. Tomorrow is crazy as well again with 1000 SBCAPE and  li down to -4 makes less of any sea-breeze  in the next 24 hours. Seems too good to be true.

You know... Other than those in the Cone and Triangle, I doubt there's going to be many members of the No Thunderstorms Club this year after all this is over

They best get moving east then. Nothing here all week

Hi guys, I took this photo from outside the brewery earlier 4pm ish whilst waiting for 8000 pints to transfer, cell to left was over Dartmoor Heading towards launceston, cell to right over north Devon. The clouds were stunning today, could hear thunder from them. Anyway hoping for more tomorrow here in Exeter. Nice to see Lincolnshire not getting as much as usual, most of us are in envy of them as a rule! Not this time!

Any one have any idea what could have triggered a pulse line of small storms that moved from Stoke-on-Trent all the way to Luton???  Some sort of weird convergence zone?

If you run the radar images back and forth quickly (do it manually not with the animate button) you can see whatever it is racing down in almost a perfectly straight line in a SE direction triggering storms as it went......

Sounds like an outflow boundary has set them off. Also any reason that storm in Liverpool has sat there for an hour.

It appears to be merging with the cell over Cannock

I watched that cell near Boroughbridge growing then seemingly weakening very quickly. Radar shows it splitting. Can't see the Knaresborough cell from my house as it's behind houses. The closest we'll get I reckon.

19:29:04/05 there was an amazing multiple forked CG that passed behind the lamp-post if you can get a screen grab it'd look awesome!

Fantastic storm currently in play over head, wasn't quite sure it would make it but it has, and is doing great. Quite a bit of hail, plenty of lighting though not much in the way of CG lightning.

Picture below was as it approached, picture not doing full justice.

Peter.
