Thursday looking quite extreme across southern England with wind convergence and a possible squall line forming. This is the real chance for London to get something big I hope

Not a huge amount of instability however on WRF-NMM...

is thursday now going to be a miss for south east ;-;

No if they do form they could form a squall line across the south. The warning area covers the the south at the moment. Hopefully things don’t change but they will

Birmingham has been cursed the last couple of days! Doesn't seem like anything will happen over here at this point

At my spot now, my forward view.

Just waiting for those blobs to arrive from behind that view... hopefully they don't vanish.

The storm over Horsham developed over me first, been raining a good 45 minutes, nothing particularly heavy but heard a few distant rumbles as it moved on. Nice to hear considering not in the risk zone! Wonder if it's due to orographic lift from the Downs maybe?

Instability everywhere  claps of thunder  and sporadic lightning strikes over the past hour    just seems ive been on the edge of the action here.  however a much better start to the season than  the previous few.

The Tamworth cell is meant to be over me right now but now rain at all but constant thunder.

Aha! Rumbles of thunder and a classic dark CN on our southern horizon!  Sun belting down here in a humid day after this morning's shower. And it's enough to spark of a storm.

Just watching now in case it does a 90 right and avoids us...

Well, four rumbles and that was it. Too much for the poor thing. It's heading off for the Dorking Guildford gap.  More building up to the east of it but not (yet) electrifying.  Looks like we'll get another shower.

The storms seem to die our as they get nearer to the Bristol channel! Does anyone know why? Always seems to happen.

Can still see the cell near Salisbury from here. Well I can at times as I’m now being plagued by sea mist
