Towers are going up all around me!

Yep noticed that, sun broke through nicely, heat and humidity has shot up. And clouds are bubbling like mad!

Looks like it's time to rename the Kent clipper to the Kent skipper

What's the chance of anything here? I'm in the meto warning bun dan puts me in a low risk. Do you think anything will happen here? If so, when?

In a good position here again today.

But just missing out yesterday shows how close you can come in set ups like this. We were very nearly there yesterday, it was just all a smidge too far north and west.

Anyway, I work as a guard on the trains, and my shift this evening sees me going between Bromsgove/Redditch and Lichfield...so that might up my chances a bit more...or lower them!

I think the Weatherstation at Hanley may have been hit during the storm last night! It went offline around the time of the noise of the 'demolition of a block of flats'

Weather Underground provides local & long-range weather forecasts, weather reports, maps & tropical weather conditions for locations worldwide.

No sign of any sunshine here yet, sky is just covered in a think milky haze with the faint fuzzy looking small cumulus (difficult to see as the sky is blinding white right now)  but despite that, the temps are rapidly rising, around 18c, dewpoints already at 16c and still rising! and humidity is around a nasty 90% and you can most definitely tell!

Rutland water would be a nice little spot to have a MaccyD’s by!

Good views in most directions of storms too

Hi there people.

first of all I’d like to apologise for the storm I caused yesterday and the petty behaviour along with it. I’d like to re introduce myself.

Im really not a bad guy and don’t want problems, especially on a forum where it’s meant to be a community.

So sorry for anyone who found it offensive or didn’t like it. I do apologise.

on a brighter note, you may or may not have seen the picture of the same view of this time lapse but this morning, cumulus is bubbling up, albeit not producing anything. But this is a good sign for later today. Apparently today showers are to be more widespread and possible more severe.

cumulus is appearing many hours earlier today than yesterday so we could be in for another good day and busy day in this forum !

It’s alright mate. I’ve seen plenty of frustration and emotional meltdowns over the years on here. Trust me. I’ve even had a few myself. You soon learn to cope with them. The key is having patience, being realistic and accepting that the weather will do what it wants!

I'd like to introduce a brand new one that I feel is very appropriate for 2020's lack of storms here, and the fact my workplace has a statue of a Hampshire Hog outside:

The Hampshire Hog Dodger

I have nothing against you fine folk up in Scotland! The model sites just seem to leave you out!

Edit- Just noticed it's probably due to the settings I've defaulted to, sorry Scots! Don't mean to cause any diplomatic issues

Nice one! I should have just laughed it off but now I know, it’s all about learning. Knowledge is power. Anyway I’m actually excited today even though the SE and E England has little to no risk the sky and radar says otherwise. The term widespread showers are hard to pinpoint when they are England wide. So it’s radar watching and now casting !

thanks for your understanding though:)

It is worth pointing out for those of us in the SE that while the ‘rain’ warning for the south is a bit of a kick in the teeth after great swathes having warnings for the thunderstorms, the warning text does say ‘heavy showers and thunderstorms’ - make of that what you will
