Setup on the overlook on gwnesca (I don't know if that's how you spell it I am really bad at Welsh) heard some rumbles of thunder, just hope I don't get soaked like I did yesterday, glad I'm not wearing jeans this time

Well just as I was looking to my east some helicopter (probably only 100 meters from the ground) flew past and scared the living daylights out of me.

Edit: Sorry not storm related, few more cells starting to pop up in Norfolk and Nottingham now.

That flew pretty much over my house!! Was incredibly low! Pretty sure it was a Chinook. As for the weather... It certainly feels stormy today and the sky has that look to it now

Dan Holley on Twitter has mentioned that the showers in Norfolk are staying inland due to an onshore breeze, hence why they're all just to my west.

4th thunder day of the year here in Aylesbury. One of the best years I can remember for number of thunder days so far.

Nothing came of that shower, just light/moderate rain. Right under that CZ though it seems.

Yes we are, if those storms from the SE end up coming our way, it could be quite interesting.

Before all the forecasts come out for tomorrow just had a look at the 12z Suites and.................................

ITS GROUNDHOG DAY Tomorrow - Yay

More lovely storms for the NW, Midlands, Wales and Ireland

We should have some rain on Thursday though, as I understand it.  Does that agree with your assessment?

So last 3 days pretty much everywhere in NW has had storms, except here. Always just too far to east or just too far to west. But distant clouds are nice I guess.
