Nope defo north of the M4 - Storms are firing further SW from the London ones which will track North West North of the M4 Later - Well thats what the models show so good luck to break the dead storm alley

Oh,I hope you're right! They look like they're moving NNW at the moment. I'm in the middle of the M4 and M40. The M40 cutting through the Chilterns nabs all the good stuff. Snow in the winter, and storms now.

The cap is slowly weakening now. Hopefully something can kick off locally!

What a superb few days it has been, and plenty more to come through tomorrow and Wednesday!

To make things just as exciting, a possible MCS is back on the cards from the continent, and the pattern staying predominantly similar for the foreseeable.

Bravo!! Just the way I like it!

Forecast from Dan pretty good - this stuff in the south fits the LOW risk fairly well, (isolated strikes here and there) and the storms up north are heavy but short-lived in any one spot

Sadly, I'm too far east in Norfolk - the activity is west of here.  Can see some impressive towering cumulus from here, though.

As long as we get something I will be impressed, but this northern bias to all the activity is already wearing thin for me

Well just as I was looking to my east a Chinook (probably only 100 meters from the ground) flew past and scared the living daylights out of me.

Edit: Sorry not storm related, few more cells starting to pop up in Norfolk and Nottingham now.

Two individual storms in close order and thunder from both (sounds like it)

I’m still west of Shrewsbury.

looking prime everywhere to be honest. Can see the Stafford cells off in the distance.

Can see that massive storm boiling up over Stafford way, some nice looking pileus clouds forming over the towers I can see through the gaps.

They'd need to form just south of Uttoxeter for them to hit us here, but once again looks like we are in a 'dry' channel

In Macclesfield, debating whether the ones near Nottingham will come over the Pennines and down into Cheshire, or whether to head South West towards the Stafford cell thats moving up.
