Towers going up to west (the stuff over Welshpool) south west and  now directly south of Shrewsbury.  Looks like a little line forming...

It definitely feels more humid outside here today than over the past two and there's already some deep Cumulus building up over the Goyt, fingers crossed today is the day we get a direct hit from a storm other than just watching them go over Cheshire and Sheffield direction.

Well, we've got some towers bubbling away here, probably the most that's going to happen this far south!

Just like I saw to the east of here yesterday but as expected they went in to produce nothing.

Temps are 21/22, humidity's around 75%, Dewpoints hovering between 15 c and 16c.  Everything's perfect

Except the bright clear blue skies with barely even a single small fair weather cloud

Only thing of note is the massive looking street of towers shooting up to my NE moving towards Warrington/Manchester.

In the meantime plenty of activity this week to look forward to.

Looking at the radar seems a couple of lines where convection is starting to start back down the lines to the south and east.

Don't think the storms coming north out of France will survive the Channel crossing, as they are surface-based.

Can see well on vis satellite areas of convergence across Kent, Sussex, Devon, Wales, NW England and Ireland.

And the thin area of high level muck refusing to clear here across the North Midlands. Although some breaks are appearing now.

Couple of showers over the Kent and Sussex Weald getting stronger, drifitng NW towards London - temperature already hitting 24C in the City, UHI will help boost convection and to become thundery.

I must be watching that stuff over the water going up and down, but quite surprised I can see that far through obvious sea mist, which is why I though it was closer.

Purple blobs to the SW of Manchester but no lightning as yet, it would seem.

I can still hear the occasional rumble of thunder here in the north western part of Snowdonia.

Looks like it's starting now - clearer on Blitzortung as the red & orange colours in Netweather blend in with the ppn on radar!

Manchester looking pretty intense with increasing frequency of Sferics.
Also looks like it could be Victim of some flash floods if that cell doesn't move!
