Please tell me your kidding right ?? The Met Office although not my number 1 fan did put the warning in the correct place just their timing were out due to the Cap holding longer than planned. You are in the perfect position for today and your dewpoints promote thunderstorms, and tomorrow and wednesday as well.

Update on the MCS for the SE which maybe would have been our saviour is rapidly going downhill with it staying the other side of the channel and hardly any models going for this now.

I was only having a laugh. I know the Met are generally alright I just thought it was ironic what happened on Saturday.
about today I see what you’re saying  but I just can’t see anything happening with this sea-breeze and with the steering flow being so weak. I think nothing will get within 10 miles of the coast.

Good test of WRF at my local experience today. WRF has a max of around 50 J/Kg CAPE. Let’s see what happens.

I’m out today heading up from Plymouth, Devon again. Looking maybe hit in between Leicester and Coventry and track NW but then I’m wondering to stay West of midlands just incase and intercept if anything fires up into wales and north wales though having the chance to push east if storms fire up East of Midlands.

Heads frazzled as to target what you thinking?

I’m the same! It’s very touch and ago across the whole midlands. Interestingly, it appears I’m under a convergence zone already, as low level muck was previously heading N to S, but it has now almost stopped, and can even see SW-NE movement of it now as the sun is coming out.

itll be another radar watching game for now. I’d position close to the A14, then that gives you wide options of chase routes, such as the A6, A38 and the M6 etc.

mill be heading back overnight as we are looking good for storms potentially in the SW tomorrow though it’s still touch and go whether they will fire up as nothing really does in the SW hence why I come up now haha.

Yeah I think radar watch is the next best thing to be honest and just take it as it comes. Thinking A14 too have those options to head in a few different routes.

im just north of Cheltenham now on the M5 so not far off

Yep the North Downs has some stunning towers today and is our only source of orographic lift in the far SE and the South Downs is too far west. A good sign for something later for the South Downs and Chilterns I would have thought. Am looking at your cloud from the NW and its trying at least - Bless it

Seriously tempted to get out and chase somewhere towards the nw midlands but it feels a bit like pin the tail on the donkey in regards to where best to go! Next couple of days are looking a bit more promising for round these parts at least.
